:Hi,
If you are looking to breed, stick with the E. Obsoleta (Black, Yellow, Greenish, Gray, etc.). Since you have an albino, if you want to produce more of the same you will want another albino black rat. If you can get a "normal" colored black rat from a reputable dealer who can tell you that it is het for albino, then about half the babies should appear albino. Most folks will tell you to keep them apart until breeding time. If you insist on housing them together, keep them apart for as long as you can to determine that both are healthy. You don't want to find out that one was ill, and that the other one got sick from him/her. ... I have an albino black, a normal (het) black, and an albino greenish. They are in 3 different cages now, as yearlings. I may decide to house 2 of them together at some point, but will probably wait until breeding time. Good luck. Duffy
:I already have an albino Black Rat Snake and next Sunday (Sept 22nd) there going to be a Reptile show on and I wanted to get him/her a mate. What type of Elaphe rat snake could live happily with my black rat and produce beautiful babies? Also could 2 males or 2 females live together?
:Thanks, Jonno.
