:I don't know if anyone has crossed licorice stick black rats with normal rossalleni or not, but there is already a whitesided mutation in glades rats. It has been around for several years now, I saw my first ones back in 1997 at the FIRS in Tampa. The strain was established by Gulf Coast Reptiles and is also called the "ghost glades" mutation. Attached is photo of an adult.
:Rainer in Georgia has crossed the whitesided black rats with the whitesided glades and proven that the trait is allelic between the two. His cross produced all whitesided babies.
