I live in Yellowknife, NWT. Up here, the climate is EXTREMELY dry. I've never had any problems with any of my snakes, including Corns, and several species of North American Rats.
The one thing that I do provide them, is a soaking bowl or pail, to ensure that they aren't too dry at shedding time. The alternative is to provide a moist hide. I found that the moist hide was still drying out too fast in this climate, so resorted to the soak.

:Hi I am interested in geting a everglades rat snake. I've read some care sheets on them but none mention humidity. Now I know the everglades are really humid so do they need high humidity. Thanks.
