I agree that most rat snakes defecate approx. three or four days after dining. But I don't have any problem with them doing so continuously. Occasionally one will defecate a second time about seven days after dining, but very rarely. In most cases, they eat, excrete, then start prowling about two days after they excrete.
It's hard to imagine that a snake could be defecating so frequently, if it isn't being fed on a similar frequency. Logic tells me that if the snake hasn't fed, its belly must be empty once it has had time to digest the last meal. What possible material could it be defecating, if not that which it has ingested?
Frequncy of feeding (and of defecation) in my snakes, is determined by their age/size. Babies are fed every four or five days. Juveniles and young adults, weekly. Older adults, about every ten days. I generally don't offer a meal until the snake is actively prowling for it. I find that this usually keeps the snakes growing at a steady rate without getting them fat.
