:Prevent-a-mite...gotta go with Eric. A testament to how good it works: I treated a cage with it, as I do for most cages simply as a precaution, which was set up for rough green snakes. These snakes, are of course insectavores by nature. Well, one month later, crickets could not live more then a couple of hours inside the cage. In fact, after the snakes had been moved out of the cage, and the bedding removed, crickets still would roll in less than an hour. This stuff works great. But follow the directions closely! No use taking any risks putting a snake into an enclosure too early when the effects are as long lasting as I have discovered.
:: I have not used this stuff personally but have heard good things about it. Hopefully I wont need it but if so I might have to try it in the future.
I do think it would be best to not leave a toxin in the cage for a month or more without steralizing it. After it has done its job it seems it would be best to steralize the cage. Do the directions make any reference to this. Randy Whittington
