Most ratsnakes by nature have higher metabolisms. My Janseni, for instance, can be fed a small rat, and will deficate as early as three days later, and then three days after that, at which time he is ready to feed again. With anything smaller, I would have to feed him twice a week in order to maintain his bodyweight and growth requirements. This is also true with my tiger ratsnakes, even though not classified within Elaphe, they share many similar characteristics in the way in which they feed and process their meals. Also, I've discovered that many "New World" ratsnakes are quite similar in these anatomical processes.
But to some it up quite easily, the more they eat, the more they will deficate. They aren't like boas and pythons which seem to hold it all untill on massive movement.
I would only be conserned with the snakes condition is if it didn't hold it's weight, had very "loose" feces, and was not acting "typical" ratsnake in fashion. If any of these are the case, you should take your snake to a qualified vet.
