Hank Molt posted that AD for me.
I was mistaken by telling him that they were the first ever c.b.
However,
I did a search in the KS colubrid ad's, and did not find any albino grey's. Plenty of Red's, Black's and Yellow's, but no Grey's.
I obtained a two juvenile males (w.c.) while working at Tom Crutchfields in 1994.
I raised these males up, and Dave Barker lent me 2 het females, (yearlings) and I have worked raising these animals up for about 5 years.
I believe Enge's picture in Becthels book, is of a wild caught specimen. But not wholly sure.
I also think Troy is still working with them.
I hope this clears this up. These guy's are pretty exceptional! My adult animals are pushing 5'! and big as round as a golfball!
: : Just saw an add in classifieds for albino grey rats saying they are the first ever.
: Definitely not the first ever. There is a photograph by Kevin Enge in Becthel's Reptile and Amphibian Variants book on page 136, not sure when it was taken. The book was published in 1995 by Krieger.
: Randal Berry is working with them, as well as BHB Enterprises. I don't think Mr Hibbitts is working with them anymore, but I could be wrong. I heard that maybe the Barker's were working with them but this could be just a rumor.
