problem with fox snake?

I was holding my western fox today and noticed something a bit strange. Her nostrils look funny, almost like they're blocked with some sort of white stuff. It's hard to describe, and I wish I could show a pic. One of her nostrils seems full to the point where it's even with the surface of her face However, it didn't really look like she was breathing through her mouth and she seems very healthy otherwise. She's on aspen bedding. I've never heard of or seen this in any other snake. Is a vet visit in order?
