I have six well-fed 2-yr-olds, and their average weight is only 185 grams each (avg length is 3-ft). I also have a four-yr-old about 4.5-ft long, and he only weighs about 500 grams. My 7.5-ft male, 15 yrs old, weighs under two kilos, and he's a really BIG boy. His 15-yr-old mate, 6.25-ft long, is barely 1300 grams.
: The usual "rule of thumb" is that a female is big enough to breed safely when she weighs about 350 grams and measures at least 3.5-ft (and that is usually attained at about 3-yrs of age unless the youngster has been power-fed).
