here in Bakersfield, CA received a w/c black rat snake from Missouri last year. I don't know the specific location in Missouri, except that its a Missouri black rat snake. The one he got is jet black and you're right they are very awesome. Even though my black rat snakes from KY won't get all black, they are one of my favorite snakes in my collection. Goos luck Brian.
