Glenn,
I had a similar experience last week. One of my bimaculatas laid four eggs, three good and one bad. It was her first clutch in several years of trying. The thing I worried about is that it looked like she was holding back more eggs. I just let her be undisturbed because I felt I might have checked on her too soon. The next day she laid two more bad eggs, and the next day after that, she laid one more bad egg even, for a total of seven eggs. Your longnose has a huge clutch. I didn't know they could lay that many. Congrats! I hope it works out for you. Maybe she has already passed the last of them since this post is a little late. Good luck. Terry.
: Rick, congrats on your new eggs! How many did she produce for you. My original female just laid 15 eggs three days ago but is retaining two. I hope she passes them. I've never had an animal retain eggs before so I am a bit afraid to think what I'll have to do if she doesn't pass them. Do you have any experience with this? It's a bitter sweet experience right now. ----glenn
