Pink Belly

Hello,
I need some advice about what could be a problem with my new rat snake. I noticed a few days ago that he's developed a shade of pink around his belly that didn't used to be there. Also, he just shed a few weeks ago. Is this normal, I heard that this might be because of too much time in water. What should I do?
