Hi I am Chris Hong who is live in Taiwan . I think Taiwan beauty is really a good species of rat snake and very easy to keep . I caught a baby Taiwan beauty in May , it's around 40 cm long , very cute ! I tried to feed it frzee pikies in the first time of feeding . It's a eating machine ! I think talking keeping and breeding is not funny for you guys , I can tell you something about their natural history at the moment in Taiwan . TB is protected animal now , bcoz too many people caught and ate them ! They are a very big species that can growth to more than 270 cm long . The biggest snake in Taiwan is Elaphe crinata , the second is TB . EC is very common species wich you can find them in the mountain everywhere . unlike EC , TB is more rarer in Taiwan especially babies . I have a friend who is a snakes breeder of local species , he was told me that it's almost impossible to find a wild TB in north Taiwan . Bcoz hunters (catching and eating , or sell them to some snake restaurant , they won't care if TB is a protected species , most of people prefer to spend a lot money to enjoy their illegal dinner , Cobras also ! )
