Most rat snakes have very fast metabolism, meaning they can digest food in less than 24-48 hours sometimes.

I, personally, have not owned tiger rat snakes, but I have owned many many other types of rat snakes, both Asian and North American, and most are very enjoyable snakes, with the exception of some of the asian rat snakes that move around too much (never still while the handler is holding onto them).

As babies, you could feed them up to twice a week. When they reach adulthood, you should probably feed them about once a week.
