Quite honestly, I keep them almost exactly like indigos, other than a little warmer. They have 6’ cages, a cool spot in the mid 70’s and they can bask in the mid to upper 80’s. They spend a lot of time in the cool spot like the indigos, but I have found they bask a lot more than indigos do. I’m big on a gradient though. I just don’t think snakes are going to well long term if forced to stay at one pre-determined temp. Spilotes seem to appreciate high humidity too.
My female pounds f/t rats. I’m going to hold 3 or 4 of these little guys back.
