I had a couple of Spilotes that turned out to be a pair of males. Needless to say, I wasn't successful in breeding them. Like other tropical snakes, they probably key on day length and perhaps shifts between wet and dry seasons. A number of folks are now breeding Spilotes fairly regularly, so somebody out there should be able to help.
