Sure, these have been bred in captivity a number of times. I just picked up a nice CB female from the Omaha Zoo a couple months ago.
: Does anyone have a notion of previous true captive breedings for Tiger rats, Spilotes pullatus? I just had cluth of eggs from a CB female with a wild male, and I was told by two hobbyists with a lot of experience that they had never heard of such an event. They tell me that most if not all CB babies have so far come from wild females that happened to be gravid at the time of purchase. I would simply like to hear of someone else's experience on the matter, if anyone does.
: Thanks for your help,
: Phil
