I live in eastern NC, where we have an abundance of the "greenish" ratsnake (elaphe obseleta x quadrivita). Pure black rats, and/or yellows are quite rare. However I have located a couple of juvinile ratsnakes that don't appear to "fit the mold" per say, as juv. greenish. But I'm used to dealing, in part, with mostly adult specimens. What are some defining characteristics of juviniles that I could use to determine whether these little ones are full blooded, or intergrades. Thanks.
