Breeding yellow rats

I have a pair of yellow rats, the male was hibernated but the female is a recent aquisition and wasn't hibernated. Do you think it's ok to breed them? If the eggs are infertile will she be more likely to get eggbound or will it just be alot of work (for her)for nothing?
