That rattlesnake populations are in decline due to roundups, I can't see any reason to oppose them for that reason. As far as the gasing of dens and inhumane treatment of the snakes before they are put down is concerned, we would have a better chance at ending these things if we address them specifically instead of opposing roundups altogether. If we were to work with law makers and roundup sponsors to end gasing and improve the level of care given to the snakes before they are killed, we would probably be taken more seriously than we are now.
