As far as care and breeding I have not found one to be any more difficult than the other. The blues are a little more sensitive to low humidity during shedding, and this needs to be watched for, but that is minor and doesn't make them any more difficult to keep.
With temperment, I have found the taiwans to be somewhat more docile than the blues. This is not to say the blues are agressive, they are not, but my blues are quicker to bite than my taiwans.
The blues are easier to get agitated when dealing with them. Even the hatchling taiwans I've had the last two years were docile right from the egg with respect to biting.
Regardless of these points though, you should get the one that you like the most yourself. The differences between the two are too small to say one is better than the other.
