Go with the corn. They make great pets, are very handleable, and are pretty cheap. Good advice to find a local breeder, or get one through the mail. They have better stock, etc, usually. Trinkets are a tropical snake, have different needs, don't handle well, don't get as tame, etc. My corns only get about 3.5 to 4 ft. long. It depends where they come from. I think Okeetees get the largest, about 5 ft., or so. There's other ratsnakes that make great pets also. Good luck. Terry.
