Baytril is a safe drug only the dosage (I believe) should be different for thin or high-strung snakes. I lost a nice emerald using it and have dosed countless times to other species. I think it had to do with body style(wiry)so I'd start with 1/2 the dose and gradually increase. Goo luck,Jeff
