You are right about that - she is gorgeous. Personally, I think blue racers put most other native snakes to shame. I did not catch her - she moved too fast and got in the rose bush before we could get a handle on her.

I found her in Washtenaw County, MI - where there are very few of this species left. But at that spot particular spot, we found four others that day! I was in heaven, as I have been looking for racers in the county for years but only finding DORs

I did catch and hold one. When we released it, I took the shot you see here.
