adult racers and coachwhips do pretty good in captivity and actually even make good display animals in aboreal setups. they breed readily too. it's the babies that will have you pulling your hair out. they are impossible! i just let them go now as soon as they are born. out of hundreds of racer and coachwhip babies that i have hatched out thru the years, only a dozen or so of them ever cooperated w/ me to any degree. the rest just keep trying to escape constantly while they slowly starved to death.
