: Why is it so hard to find CB Racers? does anyone breed them in captivity... i know they are very nervous snakes but they are still beautifull. id like to try and breed black racers but ive seen no one else doing it and have wondered if maybe its not possible or extremely difficult? any insight is greatly apreciated.

Probably because racers are pretty common and therefore not difficult to get wild-caught. So if theres not a buck in the biz', few will spend the time or money to breed them. They completely miss the point that CB are healthier, grow faster, have a chance of becoming tame and handle-able and will live longer. I believe it all comes down to the money. Nevertheless, there are a few dedicated souls that DO breed racers. As you say, they are few & far between. Good luck.
