Black coachwhip

I caught a solid black coachwhip in north central texas,in grayson county.It has a few white specks on it's chin. Has anyone seen a solid black one like I have?? I havn't probet it yet!It's about 3 1/2 ft long. Should I return it to the same locale,or try to find a mate for it.What I'm trying to say is; Is it worth working with this color pattern.
