The original animal that started this whole project was a wild-caught homozygous ivory, correct? I'm curious how you think a homozygous animal with a co-dom mutation was produced in the wild. This would mean both parents were hets, and survived in the wild to mate. I would think that if this were possible, then someone would have found hets before the actual homozygous animal. Are very many of these het ivory bloods ever imported?
