In the wild, greys stay with the parent til about three years old, then they will fly from the nest and find a mate. This behaviour is repeated in captivity, where the grey will bond tight to their human parents, then when they sexually mature find a new loved one. This is to reduce inbreeding (it is believed). This happens in the Congo grey. The Timmeh grey's are not known to show this behaviour.
