Ok, let's think about this for a minute. The snake is 17 feet and well over 100 lbs. Should it get to the point where it is in the mindset to attack there would be no easy way to get the snake off the child (or an adult for that matter). I don't think I would want to shove a knife through the head of the snake that has its head wrapped around that of a child. That's kinda like ejection seats for helicopters. Plus if you know anything about large snakes then you should know they have long teeth and can deliver rib crushing constriction as soon as they get a wrap around. Then what? You get the snake off the child but the damage is done. Makes no sense to me. I would much prefer not to have the child injured in the first place. Makes no difference if alot of people are around to help or not. I mean thats kinda like shooting yourself in the chest but it is ok because you did it in front of the hospital where there are enough people to help. Geeez. Just my thoughts.
