: As you already know--I have a 12 week old jungle carpet--whenever i hold him he YAWNS a lot. My girlfriend doesnt complain that Im a boring person, but does my snake think so? Seriously, this snake will not yawn unless I handle him--and when he is in my grasp he yawns about every 4 minutes. Is he yearing for more excietment? Should I strap him onto my motorcycle and go for a spin? Has anybody else heard of this? And if so, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Im not worried--just wondering.

I have 3 Burmese Pythons and I've watched them "yawn" only after eating.I read somewhere on the web that its an attempt to re-align their jaw.
