Is this hatchling a painted? If so what kind?

looks like a midland; see the dark marking on the plastron?
(chrysemys picta marginata)
but it couldbe a mixed blooded animal
ihave some eastern X midlands
some lose their dark plastral marking after a year or two.
where did you find him?
that's the nest way to guess but still not a way to be sure.
