:Well, I have a little painted, and occasioanlly check in on the RES forum, as they are very similar...

:Since most info out there *is* based on RES, does anyone know what differences in husbandry should I follow for a painted?

No differences that i can find. The only thing i can think of is that painteds tend to be a little more cold hardy in the wild, but that doesn't really affect us with them in captivity. I have 3 painteds (easterns) and the smallest painted turtle, Frisbee lives with my smallest RES in the same tank. THey get along great. I just love my painted turtles. :)
