HAHAHA! If you only knew the pain in the butt that rodents are! It's not surprising how much they costs! But if you are close enough, I might be able to help you out if you are in a bind, once in a while. I live in Carlton.
:Thanks for the info. So now just breed enough for both of us and 'we' are set! :)
::The NWHKA advertises in their newsletter that they sell rodents. Here is the link. Click on newsletter, and then it's in red letters, says Rats and Mice for sale. When I went to their meeting a couple of months ago, their prices were pretty good. And who knows, they may give you a better price if they know that you are going to order in those quantities. I feel your frustration, though. My husband and I actually started breeding our own rats because we got tired of the hunt, and then feeling like we were getting raped when we opened our wallet. Good luck. Hope the link works. If not, here it is so you can cut and paste it: http://www.nwhka.org/

:::Does anyone know of a resource for quality frozen rodents around Portland? I'm really tired of paying enormous shipping costs. FYI - I buy about 30 jumbo/colossal rats and 100 weanling rats every few months, give or take some odds and ends. Thanks.
