See, my thing is that I have a 4 year old son, and a 7 year old stepson. My husband and I work opposite schedules, so whenever I'm not at work, I have the kids. Anyone with kids has to know how joyful long car rides are with them ;) Besides, even if they survived the car trip, once there, I would be playing referee and not be able to truely enjoy myself. If something could be organized farther south, I would absolutely be there! I'm not trying to avoid joining the NJHS, just trying to make it more possible for me to be able to meet some more herp freaks like myself a little more often. In fact, Meri, I got the 14th off from work, so as soon as you know if you're absolutely getting the van, send me directions and time to meet. It looks like I'll be able to make the picnic! AC, are you Anthony? If so, then I do remember you ;) Will yu be at the picnic?
: lets see if we can help each other out and bring meetings to you and a few of the others in "Way Down South" Jersey.
: Y'all know my house is open for meetings any time, as long as ya don't mind cats underfoot! ;)
: I think we definitely need to see about getting some meetings happening down here in our neck of the woods. I don't mind the drive per se, but with my back problems these days, any longer than a half hour in the car is agony. :( In all seriousness, you are welcome to use my house as a meeting place...we've plenty of room, a big yard, and (finally) deck furniture to lounge in. Critters are always welcome too.
: Sooooo....let's start figuring something out. *grin*
