go to dicks sporting goods and buy a can of permethrin tick repellant. it costs about 7 to 8 dollars per can, lasts on your clothes through two washings, and i think you will find that it reduces the number of ticks you get on you. i use it in an area heavily infested with ticks and chiggers, and very rarely get any on me. also, tape your pants to the outside of your boots with duct tape. this helps keep them from getting on your laces or up your pant legs.
