There was a small article in the latest issue of _Reptiles_ magazine about a guy who found out he was allergic to his iguana. He had lots of tests done that ruled out everything else, so on a hunch he had the doctor test his reaction to iguana scales, and it was positive. So, it is possible that you're allergic to your ig. Sorry!
