Tell me about it! My grand total for a month and a half was 5 pets, my 17 y/o cat (who may have been the being I was most emotionally attached to, in the world), my 12 y/o dog (who, for 12 years, has been my puppy), and 3 newts. These are all of the animals who I was at all close to at the time, and the last animal of mine that died before my cat died 10 years ago. I wasn't ready for this huge death toll. The really bad thing about the newts is that the first one that died was half of the pair that I owned at the time. She liked me a lot, but the other one didn't like me at all. Then I bought two more to keep the survivor company and they both died. I've just bought one more, and while I haven't bonded with her yet, she is pretty cool and I've finally bonded with the original male.

Of course, the point of telling you all of this is just to illustrate how much I understand that losing a pet sucks.
