Let me get this straight. You have newts, you don't know what to feed them, but you don't need to know until April 4th? Are they hibernating? Is someone else feeding them? I don't understand.

Oh well. Crickets, mealworms, waxworms, and beetles may be good for some, but for those of us who can't stand the thought of regularly watching our pets eat food that moves, there are alternatives. I feed mine frozen blood worms for the most part, but freeze dried tubifex worms on occasion too. People say that it's harder to get your newts to eat these things, but I've never had a problem. Of course, it also depends on the species.
