:I have a pair of barred tiger salamanders in a 40 gallon terrarium with about 4 inches of soil as a substrate and live plants. I keep Eastern's as well in the same type of setup and while they have made burrows, they come out frequently and can be seen roaming the terrarium. My barred on the other hand never come out. They are healthy and have great appetites, they just never come up to the surface. Which to my way of thinking defeats the purpose of owning them. Any suggestions as to how to make them viewable?
:Thanks
