Check out ebay or that aquatic auction site. And don't be ashamed to "garbage-pick" a tank if it looks basically in good shape. A few small cracks can be easily plugged with silicon if youre using it for herps and not fish. Ask friends/family if they have a spare tank; that's how I got my 55g and a 20g not to mention countless 10g tanks that were just sitting in attics. And make sure to thoroughly disinfect it, using the right cleaning agents.
