as people have been telling you, mixing species causes accidents and diseases. it's just the same when europeans came to north america and infected the natives with small pox. unless you're a vet, how could you possibly tell if you're animals are 'happy'? stress will take a toll on your animals, even if their feet haven't been bitten into yet.
