: For frogs and adult salamanders you do cover it. But if you cover a newts foot it will cause the regeneration cap to deform and you'll have a goofy looking newt. They are great healers...

: actually there is no reason to bandage any amphibian because the bandage itself can do more harm than good. Ones that don't regenerate will start closing their woounds quickly. All by themsleves if it is not infected.
