shedding and ovulation

I'm trying to breed a nice female sipedon, and I am hoping somebody here can offer insight into the relationship between shedding and ovulation. I know with other colubrids I would take the first shed out of hibernation as a marker to figure out the fertile period for breeding, but I have been unable to find a reference suggesting that the same is true for nerodia. So I have a couple questions:
1) should I expect to see copulation quickly folloing the first shed?
2) Will a gravid snake continue to shed while carying eggs?
