Odds are he will stay at ease now, with occasional handling. He has no "natural" fear because you have never presented yourself as a threat or harmed him. In actual fact my little pictiventris bit me when I was a tad too rough while assisting her to shed. I suspect the only way to stop my girl from nipping at feeding time is to allow her to grab me a couple of times so that she learns I'm not food. Not very scientific but I don't know what else to do!
