Thank-you for that Pierson, I'm sorry that the poor photos and lighting don't do them justice but this will be corrected in time. As for his tummy, yes the black slightly encroaches at the lateral scales and continues as "mottled" grey across the breadth of the scute edges. The belly is basically an ivory, like old piano keys with possibly the slightest hint of green, maybe due to the melanistic dominant. As a matter of fact, apon receiving your post I went down to check. I've been spending more time recently trying to get them (red & yellow bellies) to become accustomed to my touch and it seems to be working rather quickly. The yellow allowed me to lift him off the ground, however he's nervous and prefers not to be restrained in any way.
The red belly is the same but they're becoming more tolerant.
It's difficult to express how much I appreciate them (all).
I have a couple of shots of the red belly on my computer but they're not very descriptive.
