To make it simple, the most inportant thing, is to give your monitor a full range of temps, so it can raise and lower its metabolism as needed. They will do absolutely great on mice and rats, if they can get to the proper temps. Natural whole foods are far better for them, then any proccessed food and should be use first.
Prossesd foods, can used used successfully if you pick the right one. We tested different dogfoods and some sort of worked and some were total failures. If it causes the runs, then discontinue using that brand.
I see no need to give monitors any processed foods, including the turkey diet, natural whole foods are availible and affordable. There is also no problem keeping caned foods as a backup food source or as an occasional food item(I hate the term, treat, as they like natural foods so much better).
