what size rats? you can feed juveniles rats depending on the stage of the rat, adult niles can eat adult rats, baby niles can eat baby rats, its all up to that.

and plants? well don't even think about it unless you are rich and patient enough to replace them all more than once a week after they are torn apart ;).
