:This is the internet and its worldwide, as you know metric is a worldwide standard of measurement. Also, I was responding to someone I believe is not in the States. So, you know what a meter is, why does it bother you, that I used it? Latin names and metric, are a method to comunicate to everyone, not just in the states.

Also, your comment about females producing at or around a meter, thats total lenght. What do you think I said that for fun? you know just to entertain you?

I have to ask, what do you know about lacies that makes that so hard to believe? Have you ever seen any in nature, a number of them? How big were they? Have you bred them? lots of them? Have you read in a number of books that they are larger then that? Even if yours were over a meter and they bred, would that mean Lacies could not breed at one meter, because of your experience?

Please don't take it wrong, I am only wondering why you would doubt it?

And lastly, Yes, my first female bred at THREE FEET. Also, when I was first interested in Lacies, I actually went to where they were being bred, Rotterdam Zoo, and they pointed out a reproductive female, I said, but its a baby, they said, yea but it lays eggs. Then I actually went and looked at them in nature, funny, but they are just not as large as you were somehow led to believe. Reality is often strange that way. 1 to 1.5 meters, being the average size Lacie. That includes both sexes. Thats called research. Cheers Frank
