measures for soaking, freezing or bleaching any of the logs I've used. The main reason being, they were too large to try that with. Some of them have had bugs, but I have yet to notice any negative impact on the monitors. In fact, the one log I have had the most bugs in is the females favorite spot to hide. If you can figure out a way to get rid of them, then go ahead, but if not, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
